Dunkirk (2017)

written and directed by Christopher Nolan

Rating: 2 / 4

Best war film ever made or empty exercise in style? Maybe a little bit of both. Head on over to The Critical Critics site and check out my review of Dunkirk (2017).

  1. Seen better?…I agree with you about the movie needing a bit more dialogue but I really think overall it is a good movie…I would have given a “Not bad”. Great review tho.

  2. Carlos, great review. Agree it lacks dialogue and that non-stop music/sound effects was initially interesting but annoying after a while. If he didn’t want dialogue, he could have spent more time on the characters’ faces, letting the movie “breathe” a bit while showing the horrors of war through their reactions.

  3. “Interstellar” was a piece of shit and this one doesn’t interest me one bit. After reading your review, I’m even less interested. I’m pretty sure it won’t be as good as “White Chicks” anyway.
