Patented, packaged, and sold: The Jurassic Park films from best to worst

In the very first Jurassic Park film in 1993, Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) says that building a theme park full of cloned dinosaurs is both irresponsible and dangerous. He angrily exclaims that the park creator “…stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you wanna sell it!” It couldn’t be a more apt metaphor for a series that has gone from exciting to ridiculous in the span of 22 years and 4 films, with more surely to come.
